The country is an international leader in computer and information technologies and has a reputation for excellence in such sectors as telecommunications, transportation and engineering; and specifically, aerospace, urban transport, microelectronics, medical devices, advanced software, hydroelectric and nuclear power, lasers and opto-electronics, biotechnology, food and beverage processing, geomatics; and ocean and environmental industries.
Canada offers the lowest tuition rates for foreign students compared to the U.K., Australia, New Zealand and the US. Rates at U.S. public universities were almost 1/3 higher than fees for Bachelor’s degrees in Canada, while U.S. private university fees were more than double. The average cost of study in Canada is $7000 to $8000 .
Though scholarship in Canadian university is rare yet if the student is talented may get the benefit of that.
Students in Canada have the advantage of being able to work while studying. Among other benefits, this allows them to manage their finances without incurring enormous debt. To gain the right to work off-campus, students must:have a valid study permit;be a full-time student;be enrolled at a designated learning institution at the post-secondary level or, in Quebec, a vocational program at the secondary level; and be studying in an academic, vocational or professional training program that leads to a degree, diploma or certificate that is at least six months in duration.If a candidate qualifies, his or her study permit will allow him or her to:work up to 20 hours per week during regular academic sessions; and work full-time during scheduled breaks, such as the winter and summer holidays or spring break.
